It's almost October ladies and gentleman, and we're entering into those first few weeks where it's not summer anymore but still too hot to be considered fall. It's a tough time (at least for those of us on the East Coast, my West Coast friends still got a few weeks to go). Don't worry, you don't have to say goodbye to your summer pieces quite yet - Amanda and I got you covered (you will definitely be seeing more of my roomie Amanda on my blog and instagram)! We put together nine total looks with two contrasting styles - whether you're sweet or salty - there's hopefully an outfit in here that speaks to you.
Sierra's First Look
This flowy textured dress from Zara is a must-have transitional piece. It's lightweight to wear during the summer months, but can easily become your go-to fall look with just a few layers. Adding boots and a scarf instantly make the dress look and feel like fall! If it's a mid 60's kind of day, this outfit would be perfect.
Dress: Zara
Scarf: Nordstrom Rack
Lace up Green Boots: Madewell (bought @ Nordstrom Rack)
Love Purse: Coach x Keith Haring (bought @ Nordstrom Rack)
Amanda's First Look
As we all know, plaid is a fall staple. Pairing these jean shorts with a distressed, grunge button up and chunky boots is an easy way to feel badass and incorporate a piece of your summer wardrobe on a hot fall day.
Plaid Button-Up: LF
Shorts: Zara
Boots: LF
Sierra's Second Look
This fun and bright look can definitely help you break out of the typical jeans-boots-sweater slump we all get caught in when the weather gets chilly. Satin is a major trend this fall and I'm so excited to get more wear out of this electric blue skirt. Throw on a leather jacket and you're good to go!
T-shirt: H&M
Skirt: Code x Mode (bought @ Nordstrom Rack)
Booties: Franco Sarto (bought @ Nordstrom Rack)
Purse: Kate Spade
Amanda's Second Look
This is an easy outfit for those days when you wanna look cute and comfy. Sweat outfits are so in - and this is great for when it's a little cooler out.
Top: Ettiquette Boutique
Sweatpants: Brand Melville
Shoes: Nike AirMax 200
Sierra's Third Look
I love light wash jeans during cooler summer days, but I also love them in the fall! Picked up this tee from the Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville last October and have been obsessed with it ever since. I would also recommend adding your favorite wide brim hat to jazz up the look even more (I don't have all my fall clothes in Boston yet otherwise I would've). I also highly recommend these boots - I'm a big believer in statement accessories paired with simple pieces (they instantly elevate your look) and can be worn with a variety of outfits during the fall!
T-shirt: Johnny Cash Museum
Jeans: Joe's (bought @ Nordstrom Rack)
Boots: Dolce Vita (bought @ DSW)
Cardigan: Topshop (bought @ Marshall's)
Purse: Not sure (sorry!)
Amanda's Third Look
These satin cowl neck tank tops are so versatile, can be worn during any time of the year, and not to mention totally flattering. Adding darker colors to a summery jean skirt like this is an easy way to carry this piece into fall.
Shirt: Zara
Leather Jacket: Nordstrom Rack
Skirt: Flock Boutique
Shoes: Steve Madden
Sierra's Fourth Look
I don't know how I lived before owning these trousers. You can style them so many different ways and it instantly makes you look put together. I have a lighter pair of trousers that I wear during the summer but these pants from Zara are a heavier material that are perfect for fall. I paired it with this scrunchy summer crop top and white shoes for a casual look.
Shirt: Brandy Melville
Pants: Zara
Shoes: Zara
Earrings & Hair Scrunchie: Nordstrom Rack
Sunglasses: UO
Bracelet: Uno de 50
Amanda's Fourth Look
This summery baby blue top is so adorable and I love it paired with contrasting ripped black jeans. The checkered patterned jacket is also so in style for this fall!
Top: Verge Girl
Jacket: American Eagle
Pants: Fashion Nova
Boots: Cole Hann
Sierra's Fifth Look
I've had this yellow linen dress from UO for a few years now and can only wear it during cooler summer nights or the fall because of the material. It's so flattering on and paired with booties and a cardigan makes it a quintessential fall outfit.
Dress: UO
Boots: Aerosoles
Earrings: Marshall's
Cardigan: (same one from Look 3) Topshop (bought @ Marshall's)
Hope ya'll enjoyed this!!
Much love,
S & A
